Which address field returned in the match should I use?

Use primary_address on the business object. It is the structured, USPS-validated address from the business’s home-state registration, and it is the address the KYB rating and address match are computed against.

You could also use the search_address object which represents the normalized and validated version of the address that was submitted.

There are other address fields exist and are easy to confuse with it:

• The addresses array within the business object contains a list of every address we have associated with the business across registrations and other sources

• Each entry in registrations has its own address, which is the address on file for that specific state’s registration. Foreign registrations often list a registered agent or a local office rather than the business’s main address.

• Each registration can also include a registered_agent_address representing the address associated with the registered agent in that state

• The address field at the top level of the search response is simply the address you submitted, echoed back so you can tie the response to your request.
