Are Litigation and Bankruptcy searches part of KYB?

Litigation and bankruptcy searches are a separate product from KYB, but they integrate directly with your KYB workflow.

You can run a litigation / bankruptcy search against:

• A business_id or business_search_id from a KYB search

• A person_id

• Ad hoc by name

Each request takes an options list of Order.Litigations (civil dockets), Order.Bankruptcy, or both; both are ordered by default. On person searches, the same options can be set directly on the search request.

Including officers or guarantors. A business docket search only covers the business name unless you add people to it. Pass officers, guarantors, or DBAs in additional_search_entities. Results then carry search_entity_name and search_entity_type so you can see which entity each case matched.

Billing. Litigation and bankruptcy are each billed per entity as their own line items, separate from KYB and from lien searches. A default search with both options ordered produces two line items; scoping to one option produces one. Each additional entity you add is billed the same way.
