How do the match fields work, and where does each match come from?

When you submit contact details with a web presence request, we compare them against everything we find online and report how closely each matched.
business_address_match: how closely your address matches addresses found on the website, in social profiles, and in review or directory listings.phone_number_matchandemail_match: whether the phone number or email you submitted appears in what we found. Only populated when you supplied one.people_match: true when at least one officer name you submitted matches a person associated with the business online.
Each of these has a matching _sources field, for example business_address_match_sources, that lists where the match was found: the website you submitted, the website we found, social profiles, reviews, or directory listings. It is only populated when there was a match.
A NO_MATCH on address is common for home-based and mobile businesses that do not publish an address, and does not by itself indicate a problem. Treat the match fields as corroboration of the identity you already verified through the business search, not as a standalone pass or fail.
The contact details we compare against are also returned to you, so you can see them directly, in the website analysis objects, in the found social profiles, and in the found reviews and directory listings.
