Does Baselayer cover Canada?

Yes. Canada is covered through Baselayer's International Business Search.

Federal and provincial registries

Baselayer is connected to both the federal registry (Corporations Canada) and the provincial/territorial registries: Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, New Brunswick, Newfoundland & Labrador, Northwest Territories, Nova Scotia, Nunavut, Ontario, Prince Edward Island, Quebec, Saskatchewan, and Yukon. You search Canada at the country level (iso2_country_code: "CA"); Baselayer routes to the right registry.

Live at the point of request

Canadian lookups are live to the registry at the moment you make the request, not periodic refreshes. The data you get back is as current as the registry itself. Because it's a live lookup, international searches are asynchronous (results via webhook or polling).

What you get for Canada

Canada returns the core registration record: legal name, registration/corporation number, status, legal form, and registering authority, in Baselayer's standard normalized format (the same shape as a US result).

Do my US credentials work for Canada?

Yes. Your existing Baselayer API key works for Canada and all international searches, there are no separate credentials to provision. You just call the international route (POST /international/searches) instead of the US route.
