Can I include officers, guarantors, or DBAs in a lien search?

Yes. By default a business lien or docket search only searches the business’s legal name. To cover the people or names behind it, add them to the request in additional_search_entities. Each entry has a name and a type of Business or Person.

Every result carries search_entity_name and search_entity_type, so you can tell a lien or case against an officer from one against the business.

Billing: each additional entity is billed like a separate search. For liens that is per entity per state, so an officer searched in three states adds three lien charges.
