What do watchlist hit results look like?

Last updated: September 14, 2026

Watchlist results are returned in watchlist_hits, grouped by list. Each entry has:

  • code and name: which list it is, for example OFAC or OIG.

  • count: how many list entries matched.

  • details: one record per matched entry with the fields available for that list.

The details vary by list because each one is a different kind of record from a different agency:

  • OFAC: entry name, alternative names, sanctions program, entity type, addresses, remarks, and a link to the source list.

  • Consolidated Screening List: the underlying agency list, programs, entry name and aliases, addresses, and source links.

  • Canadian sanctions and FBI Most Wanted: entry name, description or program, and source links.

  • OIG exclusions: the excluded individual or entity, exclusion type, and dates.

  • PEP: positions held, risk category, associated countries, date of birth where known, and source links.

Basic fields like the name and the program recur across lists, but do not expect an identical field set from every list.
